The University of Moratuwa consists of three faculties, namely Architecture, Engineering and Information Technology, with nineteen (19) academic departments offering eleven (11) Bachelor's degree programs and fifty-six (56) postgraduate coursework programs as well as MSc, Doctor of Philosophy and research-based postgraduate degrees. The university has a student population of 7687 undergraduates and 1050 NDT diploma students of the Moratuwa University Institute of Technology (ITUM).
